The Niue Definitive 2009 stamp collection displays some of Niue’s stunning scenic vistas including its panoramic coastlines, rock formations, caves, beaches and rainforests, and carries the Niue Tourism logo. The stamps also incorporate an element of Niuean tradition with a pandanus leaf weave forming the backdrop of the denomination.
Through 11 photographic images, we roam from the country’s panoramic coastlines and gravity-defying rock formations to a glimpse of a humpback whale and the visual wonders that accompany the snorkeling experience. Set against an image of a traditional woven pandanus leaf, the stamps are proof indeed that Niue is undiscovered, unspoiled and simply unbelievable.
This is the first Niuean stamp issue produced and distibuted by New Zealand Post under a new agreement with the Niuean government.
